Japan school? i have a friend who will live and study in japan bcos his father has been sent to work there.and he will be living in japan for 3 years.but my friend say he didnt sure whether he will study in japan local school bcos he scared being bullied by some japan school gang.now are there really any gangs in japan school??if yes what are the bad things their do? |
Your friend will most likely not go to a Japanese school, if his Japanese is not on par with all other students his age. I send my sons to international schools, where they go to schol with other Americans and westerners. The education and system is 100% based on US schools, so that when you return home to the USA, you can continue your education without any gaps.
About gangs in Japan.
Japanese gangs pick on the weak and they do it in large numbers. They themselves are weak. |
Japan school? I am 14 yrs old now i want to go to japan and live there but cant find a high school or a collage i can go too |
| Look in your yellow pages, under schools, they will be listed there. My best friend is Japanese and she goes to an all day class on Saturdays, her mom is Japanese ans she already knows how to speak Japanese, but she said it helps her to know how to read and write too, so if she wants to get a job to translate. She's really cool! |

Thanks for any info. |
| It depends on each school. Usually, it's April 6-8. |
How should I start off my compare and contrast essay on Japan schools vs my school? I'm writing a compare/contrast essay on Japan school vs. my school and I don't know how to start it out. Help please? |
okay well its an essay right
so you gotta use the sandwich rule
introduce topic in introductory paragraph
present three ideas you want to compare/contrast -- let them be broad
ie: curriculum, hours, strictness.
thesis, tie your entire essay into one sentence
2nd para
expand on first comparison - tell both side of the story.
3rd para
expand on 2nd comparison/contrast - tell both side of the story.
4th para
expand on 3rd comparison/contrast - tell both side of the story.
concluding paragraph
restate the three major comparison/contrasts restate thesis. |
If I want to be a transfer student in Japan, how old do I have to be, and could I do it during high school? I want to study in Japan, but can I do it during high school? Do any of you know a good site where I can check out info on being an exchange/transfer student? Or a Japan school website? Do I need to know a lot of Japanese to go there or are there International schools? |
Well, there are a number of organizations you could go to (being in high school isn't much of a problem; just make sure you can catch up/get all your credits for whichever semester you miss). It would be advisable to know some Japanese, but your language proficiency varies between each organization.
YFU - Youth for Understanding - yfu.ca Apparently this place is pretty good; a friend of mine went on an exchange to Japan with this organization, and she said it was amazing. It's worth a look, but I haven't been able to find their prices yet.. Up to age 18
AFS - afs.org/afs_or/home We hosted an exchange student from Japan, and she went with this organization. It was only for 1 month, but it was great! However, you will have to pay about $4 000 and fundraise $2 000 on top of that. I think there are scholarships though .. not sure of the age limit, but I'm pretty sure it's open to high school students from Canada
ISEC - International Student Exchange Canada - www.iseontario.on.ca/ I am very sure that they are doing an exchange to Japan, but I don't much for sure... it doesn't say anything on their website that I found, but it might still be worth a look.. also don't know the age limit.. and it's open to high school students
YRLC - York Region Learning Connections yrlc.on.ca/
I found this one kicking around in an International Programs list... If you're in high school, you may be able to do this one; just check with whichever board you are with and you should be able to get a bit of info. From what I gathered (from outside sources) they set you up in a Japanese high school as well (for 1 semester) and pay for uniforms, registration, etc. But I could be wrong about this one.. I think you may have to apply 1 year early though. I think (not sure) the age limits are 14 - 17 yrs for this one
Please email me at flower.fox38@hotmail.com if you find any others!

How to apply for Japan school nurse? My friend has graduate and now she is officially a registered nurse. She want to work in Japan as school nurse while she isn't a Japanese. She can speak and write fluently in japanese. But she is not sure on how to apply for it and what is the requirement for it. Can anyone help my friend? |
If you want to work as a nurse in Japan, you need a nurse license of Japan.
So even if she's become RN there, it does not matter at all.
She needs to attend 2-4 years of nursing school in Japan. |
What High School Japan Exchange program is most flexible? Im looking for a study abroad high school program in Japan, but I need the dates to be flexible. Most only allow you to go from ______ to _______, but I need one that is more flexible. |
Most programs operate in the same way. They offer fall semester, spring semester, year or summer programs. This is because you are attending school. I don't know how much flexibility you need, but you may not find what you're looking for in ANY high school program.
You can find a list of all of them certified to operate in the U.S. at www.csiet.org. Maybe that will help you find what you need.
Good luck! |
What schools are recognized in Section 1 of the Japan School Education Act? I was doing some research about music schools in Japan, and one of the requirements for applying is "Received at least a year of education at a school recognized by Section 1 of the Japan School Education Act (excluding kindergarten)."
www.jikei.asia/com/en/scholarship/index.html
I did a Google search, but couldn't find anything, so I was wondering if anyone knew. Thanks! |
| it means... you have attended for a year or more one of schools in japan, at least one of primary schools, junior highschools, highschools or colleges, or special-needs schools, 5-year vocational high schools which the japanese ministry of education and science recognized 'regular schools'. they must satisfy the curriculum and school facilities' standard authorized by the ministry. so, international schools and foreign schools are not included in this case. |
Does anyone know what age are you suppose to be in high school japan? Does anyone know what age are you suppose to be in high school japan?
How many years are you suppose to be in high school japan
and what age are you suppose to be when you enter and when you graduate. Please let me know =) it will be much great help.
If you have more details about please feel free to let me know. |
Middle School:
Grade 7: 13 years old
Grade 8: 14 years old
Grade 9: 15 years old
Highschool:
Grade 10: 15 to 16 years old- mostly 16
Grade 11: 16 to 17 years old- mostly 17
Grade 12: 17 to 18 years old- mostly 18
You enter highschool at the age of either 15 or 16 (depending on one's birthday).. thats why i said 15 to 16
and you graduate when you are either 17 or 18 (depends on one's b-day again) but mostly likely, its usually 18 years old. |
