| Will I find myself in legal troubles if I draw copyrighted cartoon character's naked? I know Disney is very much against the unauthorized replication of their characters. I also if the character's are modified in certain ways then it's legal to replicate them. But what about if they're exactly alike only with revealed genitals, breasts or asses? | I think that in the scene where the dogs are all in the old manor (101 dalmations), one puppy answers "there are 99 of us puppies." But then the scene shifts to a group of 15 puppies, all of whom have collars; I've heard that one of the dogs says "we never counted them." So in reality, there are 15 extra puppies that were never accounted for, bringing the total to 116 dalmations, not 101. Rewatch the movie...cause I'm not too sure, I read it somewhere, and when I try to remember, I think I do remember that scene. I think that in Lady and the tramp, in the spaghetti scene, I've heard there is a freezeframe of a woman...um..."enjoying herself." That's all of the other ones I've heard of... | What has happened to DISNEY CHANNEL and NICKELODEON? Those used to be good channels but now all I see are innapropriate shows for my little sister to be watching. | Cartoons with nudity on same shelf with guyrens cartoons in local dollar store? I recently took my 7 yr old son to our local dollar store to get a cartoon on dvd. The store was very busy so I rushed him a bit to choose one. He picked one that looked really cool by the cover. When we got home the first scene was of naked anime women. I immediatly looked on the case of the dvd. In very small type it did say nudity --my question is can I hold my dollar store liable for putting cartoons containing nudity on the same shelf with disney and pokemon cartoons. I do realize i should have checked the box over more carefully, but I never thought of nudity in cartoons like that. Please help me with this matter. |
| Something you have to know is that with many stores like Wal-Mart, K-mart, or in your case, the dollar store, they don't separate the anime from the cartoons. In Japan, Anime is a source of entertainment for ALL ages. Genres run the gamet from cutesy guyrens material to very graphic material(violence, blood/gore, sex) and everything in between. Basically, Anime is not just aimed strictly towards guyren in Japan, and most US retail companies don't understand this, so they see animation and automatically assume it's ok to lump it in with guyrens cartoons. i'm sorry you had to go through the experience you did just because ppl dont understand that anime and cartoons are vastly different sometimes; it's a war that i've been fighting for many years. my advice is to check the label before buying from now on. |
| Is disney channel evil? I'm starting to believe that the Disney corporation is evil. They are turning friend against friend over the jonas brothers ("Nick is mine" "NO! Nick is MINE!") and supporting "actresses" such as Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens after they have stipped naked for (personal and professional) photos. | What's with Disney 'Celebrities'? I despise Hannah Montana. I hate HSM. I really don't understand why there are girls as old as 14 obsessing over Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus. I mean come on! My little cousin idolises someone who gets the dance moves wrong in the 'Dance-along' edition of HSM. These are good looking, but not always the most talented performers that knew the right people, that were in the right place and the right time.
